The last thing you’d expect to form in the back of your mind while reading an archaeological article is a funny Bud-Light commercial.
Yet, it’s hard not to when reading this one …
First, just the facts:
- An ancient site in Ireland
- Approximately 3,000 years old
- The focus is around a stone-mound, one of many such sites around Ireland
- Years of pondering to its purpose
Now, the components in trying to prove a theory about the site:
- Two archaeologists
- Fire
- Ingredients for alcohol
The archaeologists use the stone-mound, heat it, and cook a batch of beer. It tastes pretty decent … thus, a strong case for a proven theory.
