Archaeologists Discover How to Make Beer, in a Very Old Fashion Way

The last thing you’d expect to form in the back of your mind while reading an archaeological article is a funny Bud-Light commercial.

Yet, it’s hard not to when reading this one …

First, just the facts:

  • An ancient site in Ireland
  • Approximately 3,000 years old
  • The focus is around a stone-mound, one of many such sites around Ireland
  • Years of pondering to its purpose

Now, the components in trying to prove a theory about the site:

  • Two archaeologists
  • Fire
  • Ingredients for alcohol

The archaeologists use the stone-mound, heat it, and cook a batch of beer. It tastes pretty decent … thus, a strong case for a proven theory.
